Why are homes so cheep in Cape Coral, Florida?
It just seems like the deals are too good to be true! The homes are much cheeper than other parts of Florida. Is there something wrong with this area?
Cape Coral has a bad reputation in over regulation of its city. Primarily, due to the rules regulating issues such as parking boats, RV’s and trucks on your own property being a big no, no. People from Fort Myers call the Cape, Crap Coral. The impact fees associated with a new city sewer system and road work are all passed on to the homeowners.
The important thing to state about Cape Coral is that in no way shape of form is it small. It is huge and has many businesses and things to do. Take advice from a native if you want to get more bang for your buck buy in Fort Myers. You will be so much happier about living in Southwest Florida. The summers are brutal but you can not beat the winter weather. It truly is paradise.
