using HPS light to grow marijuana will Electric Co. know what u are doin?
i plan on using one 400wat hps light system to grow marijuana (please don’t preach to me)i live in california and i was wondering will the electric company know what im doing and turn me in im not worried about the amount as i dont use that much electricity but more worried about them monitoring when i turn on my lights like 18 hour on and 6 hour off every day at the same time will they alert the police.
You live in California and you’re worried about one HPS?? ay caramba. California is in the process of discussing full legalization in the near future and already had the highest number of grow operations of any state. The last thing anyone there is worrying about is someone growing in their closet under 1 HPS light.
Anyway, the answer is: No. The electric company will not notice the change in electric use between the times when your light is on or off. They probably also won’t notice your next door neighbors 4 HPS lights, nor your other neighbors 10 HPS lights. …not to mention the warehouse down the street growing medical marijuana under 100 HPS lights.
If you are still concerned, get a medical marijuana card and relax. The end of prohibition is nigh.
